Real-Time
Online Support

The use of technology is optimized to fit our pedagogy. We offer two pathways to getting support at any point during the online journey.
Students can book time with their instructor online, or use AI tools we are integrating into our platform to get tutoring help.

The Flipped
Classroom Model

Eastwood Online School utilizes Google Suite’s versatile platforms in order to ensure interaction between instructors and students, easy access to course content, daily reminders of course timings and task-deadlines, as well as other tools to optimize the learning experience. We also utilize EngageVR.io to create fully immersive classrooms.

Our Instructors

All instructors partaking in the teaching and learning journey are globally recognized, best in class, IB authorized and have extensive international teaching experience. Instructors are available per their a schedule fit to accomodate different time zones, so no online student is left without the support needed to achieve their full potential.

How we use Gsuite

  • Google Classroom would be the platform used to upload coursework and submit assignments. 

  • Google Meet would be the main platform used for face-time and interaction between instructors and learners. 

  • All courses, deadlines, and event reminders would be posted on Google Calendar. 

  • Essentially, every learner would also need access to the Google Drive, including Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides. 

  • Instructors might also use Google Jamboard to ease the process of displaying instructional material. 

  • Assessments are mostly conducted through Google Forms.

A Vibrant Community.

Our vibrant and diversified student body enriches the e-learning experience as students around the globe get to interact and to collaborate with each other while working on various course tasks. Instructors are keen about promoting cultural awareness, tolerance, and acceptance when dealing with the different interactions and make use of cultural diversity to further optimize the learning experiences. We also plan to create Slack channels to keep our student community connected, whether to find new study buddies, forge new friendships, or just take a break, online together.

We’ve devised a calendar and schedule based on the IB learning model, which equips students with time-management skills early on in their academic careers, preparing them for a lifetime of learning:

Fall & Spring Semesters

We use a two-semester (fall and spring) system, although most of our classes are year-long. Students receive a separate grade for each semester.

Master Schedule

To accommodate our active, global student body, we create a new master schedule each year based on the time constraints of returning students and first-round applicants. Our success rate in meeting these requests is over 90%. As a result, the section schedule changes dramatically each year, although courses are generally offered every year.

Extended School Day

Eastwood IB Online School runs on an extended school day, from
8:00 am to 8:00 pm (GMT+3) . That’s important to remember and easy to forget: scheduled class times reflect Eastwood IB Online School’s location in the Middle East.
